The Gujarat Mineral Research Industrial Consultancy Society (GMRICS), in its re-beginning in 2024, aims to become the best agency for mineral-related research required for the development of the mining industry in the country. In an innovative initiative, the Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC) has revived the society for themselves and other agencies looking for the best solution from the country's top professionals. The Ministry of Mines (MoM)'s efforts have been praiseworthy in the last ten years, bringing a revenue-oriented auction regime with mineral-friendly policies. GMRICS, therefore, created a pool of highly experienced mineral scientists to demonstrate strength in the exploration, exploitation, and extraction of minerals (especially critical) needed for Atmanirbhar Bharat. The critical minerals are receiving top priorities in this sector. Natural resource enhancement in brownfield areas and identification of the greenfield regions in Gujarat and other states of the country require dedicated consultancy. The multidisciplinary geoscience, mining, and processing-related consultants under one umbrella are ready to support the mineral industries on specific problems in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Odisha, and Karnataka. This is the main task of GMRICS. GMRICS supports the NEP-2020 as a societal responsibility.
GMRICS should attain the position of best agency in a span of ten years for mineral-related research required for the development of the mining industry in the country.
Demonstrate strength in exploration, exploitation and extraction of minerals (especially critical minerals) needed to propel the Atmanirbhar Bharat Vision
