The primary objective of GMRICS is advancement of research relating to Mineral exploration, Mining and Mineral processing. Since it’s revival in 2024, GMRICS has given emphasis to foster research through collaboration with academia, industry and government agencies through Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). GMRICS has been looking for ways to infuse academia with its highly experienced professionals to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and applied application through strategic collaboration.
Universities and research institutes provide advanced analytical facilities for mineralogical, geochemical & geophysical analysis and modelling enabling earth scientists to understand ore deposits and devise exploration methodologies. The professional expertise of GMRICS team in mineral industry combined with the academic knowledge and analytical facilities of universities aid in deposit modelling and developing innovative exploration strategies. Such mutual collaboration provides ample opportunities for young professionals of GMRICS in advancing their academic excellence, whereas students of universities get opportunities to work in diverse geological domains and gain hands on training on exploration aspects. Such activities also fulfil the objectives of the National Educational Policy (NEP-2020).
Realising the importance of collaborations with Universities, GMRICS has entered into MoU’s with the following renowned Universities and industries in the country.
