CEO-GMRICS, Director- R&D and TS- GMRICS were invited to participate in one day workshop on Make in India Raman Spectrometer, organized by PRL, Ahmedabad on 16th December 2025. The workshop included lectures on advanced methodologies for molecular characterization, material analysis along with practical hands-on training with state of art instrumentation under the guidance of leading industry professionals.
Dy-Director, Geophysics delivered inhouse lectures on basics of Geophysical techniques, usefulness of Electrical, Gravity and Magnetic techniques to the young geologists of GMRICS and GMDC at Ambaji. These methods are useful for delineating the extension of mineralized zones in the brownfield and new mineral potential area in the greenfield exploration.
CEO- GMRICS was invited to serve as Guest of Honour at the National Conference on “Critical and Energy Minerals in Northeast India: Potential and Possibilities”, scheduled for 9th to 12th November, 2025 in Guwahati, organized by SECONE Society in collaboration with Geology Department of Royal Global University, Guwahati, Assam. CEO- GMRICS delivered his talk as keynote speaker for the Ice-Breaking session of the conference on exploration strategies, discoveries, and geological controls of critical and energy mineral deposits across India, with a special focus on the NE region and opportunities for researchers from NE India in this field.
On invitation, CEO-GMRICS attended an event “Commemorating the 75th Year of CSIR-National Metallurgical Laboratory, Jamshedpur, India in the area of minerals, metals, materials, and environmental research” in Critical Metals Congress- CRITMET on November 6-8, 2025, at Jamshedpur. He delivered a talk on “Status and vision for exploration of Critical Minerals in Gujarat”.
On invitation, CEO-GMRICS attended 11th Asian Mining Congress (AMC) and International Mining Exhibition on “Innovative & Responsible Mining for Inclusive Growth” hold on October 30-31st 2025 in JW Marriot, Kolkata, organized by Mining, Geological & Metallurgical Institute of India (MGMI). He has presented a paper entitled “METHODOLOGIES UNDER NEW MINERAL POLICIES FOR EXPLORATION OF CRITICAL AND STRATEGIC MINERALS IN INDIA” in the said conference.
Professor Dr. Deepak Srivastava, IIT Roorkee visited CPA from March 22 to March 27, 2025, to provide his expert opinion. He is a renowned expert in the field, and his expertise was required for the CPA. He interacted with geologists from GMRICS and trained them in shear zone identification. His practical training infused enthusiasm into young geologists and created interest in structural geology.
Dr. Sinha, CEO of GMRICS, participated in the National Workshop on “Strengthening R&D in Indian Mineral and Metal Sector—Policy Framework for Sustainable Growth, 2025,” held at CSIR-IMMT in Bhubaneswar on March 19, 2025. His contributions to the workshop and valuable suggestions during the discussions were appreciated. These suggestions have been included in the comprehensive report submitted to the Ministry of Mines, Government of India, regarding R&D in the mineral and metal sector.
Dr. T. S. Sunilkumar, Director (R&D), GMRICS and Anoushka Chundawat, Geologist attended the two-day conference on Indian Industrial Minerals organised by Federation of Indian Mineral Industries (FIMI) at Udaipur during March 10-11, 2025. Dr. Sunilkumar gave a talk on “Bauxite deposits in Kachchh district, Gujarat: Value addition and Challenges” on the occasion.
Dr. DK Sinha, CEO, GMRICS, was invited to grace the Inaugural Session of the Industry-Institute Interaction (III), 2025, as a Special Guest. This event marked a significant occasion for the institute during its centenary celebration, which began on December 9, 2024. The III-2025 was the first important event of the centenary celebration and will launch its journey to commemorate 100 years of dedicated service to the nation. The theme for this year’s III–25 was Smart Mining, Critical Minerals, and Green Energy (Industry-Academia Workshop under the Collaboration of TEXMiN Foundation), where he delivered a plenary talk related to challenges and opportunities in the critical mineral supply chain
Dr. DK Sinha, CEO, GMRICS, was invited as the Guest of Honour at the inaugural function of the “International Conference on “Earth from Archean to Proterozoic,’” held from December 19 to December 21, 2024, at the Department of Geology, Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur. The conference brought together eminent experts, researchers, and professionals from across the globe to discuss Earth’s geological evolution, focusing on the Archean and Proterozoic Eons. He delivered a keynote address during the Conference.
