A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was entered on the 9th day of November 2024 by and between the Managing Director GMDC, acting through the Chief Executive Officer of the Gujarat Mineral Research Industrial Consultancy Society (GMRICS), and The Mohanlal Sukhadiya University, Udaipur Rajasthan (MLSU) Udaipur acting through the Registrar MLSU Udaipur.

The MLSU Udaipur has been a temple of learning for more than six decades. Established in 1962, the University is an autonomous state university under the Government of Rajasthan. It has carved its path to eminence through the sheer dynamism and dedication of its founders, fathers, and educators. MLSU Udaipur is a leading university accredited with NAAC A Grade, offering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in various science disciplines. The Department of Geology, where studies on rocks and minerals are carried out, is a leading university department with UG courses, two PG courses, and 133 PhD degrees, which have been awarded so far.

Realising the mutual interests, the Parties have agreed to create a long­ term partnership in Research, Education, and Training, including undertaking collaborative Research in the areas of mutual interest supported by funding through the respective institutions according to the broad framework outlined in this Memorandum of Understanding to facilitate advancement of knowledge based on reciprocity based efforts, mutual benefits and regular interactions and

This MoU shall be valid for five years and may be extended for up to 5 years by mutual consent.
