Dr. D K Sinha obtained his MTech (Applied Geology) in 1983 from Dr Sir Hari Sigh Gaur University Sagar, MP. He completed his PHD in Science from RTM University Nagpur in 1993. Dr Sinha is an eminent exploration geologist and academician who retired as the Director (2020-2022) from the Atomic Minerals Directorate for Exploration and Research (AMD) after 39 years of government service.

Dr. Sinha focused on the exploration and sustainable development of strategic and critical minerals during his tenure in AMD. His active involvement in planning, execution, coordination and monitoring of geological and exploration activities has resulted in identification of several prospective zones for U, Th, REE and associated critical minerals in India. Dr. Sinha was instrumental in establishing a unique polymetallic uranium deposit at Kudada, Jharkhand, in a hitherto unknown host rock, for which he was honoured with DAE Group Achievement Award – 2019. Mining for this deposit is going to be initiated soon. He has initiated exploratory mining in Rohil, Rajasthan. In recognition of his outstanding achievements in the front end of the Nuclear Fuel Cycle, He was honoured with the prestigious ‘DAE – Homi Bhabha Science and Technology Award in 2020. Strategic assignments carried out by him in DAE has bagged him the DAE-Special Contributions Award -2011. He intensified heliborne, ground geophysical and exploratory drilling operations to find new targets in the country when he reached to managerial position of heading the Planning and Management Services Group of AMD. He served as Deputy Regional Director, WR Jaipur, Regional Director, ER, Jamshedpur and Additional Director of AMD before occupying the highest post of Director, AMD.

He was a key member of the Joint Working Group of MoES-NGRI-AMD working Group of Deep drilling project in Koyana-Warna and ONGCEC for uranium exploration in petroliferous basins of India. Dr. D. K. Sinha was one of the core committee members of establishment of BARC Training School and taught as adjunct professor (2010-2022) for PG Diploma students of the school (under Homi Bhabha National Institute, Mumbai). Dr. Sinha has published three (03) books and more than 120 research articles in various National and International journals and conferences. He was a Member in the Board of Studies / Academic Council at Dr. Hari Singh Gaur University, Sagar Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar, Madhya Pradesh and Rashtra Sant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur till 2022. He has guided two Ph.D. research scholars and teaching MSc and guiding PhD students at Gujarat, Kachchh, and Baroda Universities. Dr Sinha participated in the International Geological Congress Busan-2024, and chaired and delivered a keynote address in session 21 under theme 12. He supports the academic institutions as per requirement of NEP-2020.

Pramod Kumar is an M.Sc. in Applied Geology from the University of Roorkee (IIT Roorkee, 1978). He is an exploration geologist with nearly 45 years of distinguished service in the field of mineral exploration. During his tenure with Atomic Minerals Directorate for Exploration and Research (AMD), he has made significant contributions in discovery and development of uranium deposits in India.

Pramod Kumar possesses in-depth expertise in the exploration of atomic minerals and critical minerals. His work encompasses a wide range of uranium deposits across India, such as Quartz pebble conglomerate of Dharwar Supergroup; Vein-type in the Singhbhum Shear Zone; Carbonate-hosted, strata-bound at Tummalapalle, Kadapa Basin, Andhra Pradesh; Proterozoic metasediments of the Champaner Basin, Gujarat; Albitite-related along the North Delhi Fold Belt; and Sandstone-type in Mahadek Basin, Meghalaya. Shri Kumar has been actively involved in pilot-scale mining operations, including shaft sinking, decline development, ore drive planning, underground mapping, channel sampling, and preparation of assay plans at Baghjata Mines (Singhbhum) and Tummalapalle Mine (Andhra Pradesh). He has expertise on geo-statistical data analysis and interpretation for integrated exploration models.

Pramod Kumar has authored over 50 research papers and has prepared many geological and feasibility reports. He has participated in 5th Decennial International Conference on Mineral Exploration (Toronto, Canada, 2007), Due Diligence Mission to Oakbay Project Shiva, Johannesburg, South Africa (2009) and Technical Meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna, Austria (2018). He is a fellow of Geological Society of India, Indian Society of Remote Sensing, Indian Society of Applied Geochemists (ISAG), Hyderabad and Indian Geological Congress, Roorkee. He is empanelled with the National Mineral Exploration Trust (NMET), wherein he is continuing to offer his expertise through reviews.

He joined GMRICS in November 2024 and is leading the exploration activities as Director (exploration). Currently he is developing the Copper Project, Ambaji for resource enhancement and Calcined Bauxite Project, Ghadshisha for critical minerals. The other projects like Kadipani Fluorspar Project, Manganese Projects and Silica Sand Project of Rajpardi are in the initial stage of investigations and planning.

Dr. T. S. Sunil Kumar obtained M. Sc. Degree in Geology from University of Kerala in 1985 and Ph.D. from Osmania University in 2001 for his pioneering work on uranium-copper-precious metal metallogeny along the Singhbhum Shear Zone. He started his professional career at the Mineral Processing Division of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), where he has made remarkable contributions as Ore Mineralogist and Process Mineralogist on major Indian uranium Ores, tin, tungsten, copper, beach sand minerals and rare metals. Subsequently he joined Atomic Minerals Directorate for Exploration and Research (AMD) in 2001 and has served the department in various capacities in survey and exploration, mineralogical and geochemical studies, applied research and has effectively guided survey and exploration for uranium, rare-earth elements and rare-metals and beach sand mineral deposits. He superannuated from AMD as Additional Director (Research and Development) in 2023.

He is a professional process mineralogist with experience on (i) uranium ores at viz. Jaduguda, Bhatin and Narwapahar, Singhbhum Shear Zone; Domiasiat, Meghalaya; Gogi, Karnataka, (ii) Beach sand deposits of Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, Kalingapatnam and Bhavanapadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kudiramozhi, Tamil Nadu (iii) Tungsten deposits of Khobna, Maharashtra; Degana, Rajasthan and Burugubanda-Tapaskonda, Andhra Pradesh; (iv) gold-PGE-silver mineralisation at Jaduguda, Jharkhand and Khetri, Rajasthan; (v) Tin ore from Tosham, Haryana, (v) Cu ores of Malanjkhand, Madhya Pradesh and Kalyadi, Karnataka. He has contributed as an exploration geologist of AMD in the fields of mineral exploration, deposit modeling and characterization. He has worked in parts of Cuddapah basin, Andhra Pradesh, and North Delhi Fold Belt, Haryana and Rajasthan. He has ably guided and managed exploration and research for rare-metal and rare earth elements, including Ambadongar carbonatite complex, Siwana Ring Complex, Rajasthan and heavy mineral deposits along the west and east coast of India. He efficiently managed the analytical activities in state-of-the-art laboratories for on-time generation of quality data and research programmes on genetic studies of deposits and ore-modelling.

Dr. Sunil Kumar, with 85 publications, is the recipient of (i) Group Achievement Award (2021) of DAE as Group Leader for the exploration activities on REE deposit at Ambadongar, Gujarat; (ii) Dr. G. R. Udas–K.K. Dwivedy Medal (2013) of Indian Society of Applied Geochemists and (iii) Indian Institute of Mineral Engineers (IIME) Award for Best Paper on ore characterization (2000). Dr. Sunil Kumar is actively engaged in guiding and overseeing exploration and associated R&D on base-metals and critical mineral resources in diverse geological domains and development of state-of-the-art analytical facilities for ore characterization and applied studies in GMRICS from 2024.

Anand obtained his Diploma in Automobile Engineering (1977) from Govt. Polytechnic, Kakinada and B.Tech. degree in Mechanical Engineering (1982) from College of Engineering (JNTU), Kakinada, A.P.

He brings about 36 years of experience with an impressive track record in the field of drilling for mineral exploration. He spearheaded drilling activities of Atomic Minerals Directorate for Exploration and Research (AMD) as Head, Drilling Group and left his mark in modernising and upgrading the drilling activities and achieving goals. He provided operational expertise and material support to more than 35 drilling units for timely and cost-effective drilling operations. Continuously upgraded the technology by keeping pace with the innovations in the market. Planned and procured state of the art Hydrostatic drilling rigs and increased the productivity with reduced manpower.

He has showcased his skills in preparation, finalization and monitoring drilling contracts to the tune of 3 Lakh metres per year and established various procedures, guidelines and was responsible for increasing the vendor-base and bringing down the costs. He is passionate about bringing new technologies and creating innovative solutions in drilling contract management. He is responsible for introducing Sonic Drilling technology for Beach sands exploration in AMD.

He has Supervised special and difficult drilling projects in nuclear reactor sites of DAE and conducted strategic drilling operations for BARC for which he has received Special contribution award from Department of Atomic Energy in 2007. He has served as an expert member in the Technical Committee for scientific deep drilling in Koyna region, Maharashtra and for deep drilling for Geophysical-Seismological measurements for NGRI providing technical help in preparation and scrutiny of drilling tenders. He has visited France and Canada on deputation and for participation in international events.

He is a serving member of Diamond Core and Water Well Drilling Sectional Committee MED 21 in BUREAU OF INDIAN STANDARS Since December 2000, actively participating in Preparation and review of standards for drilling equipment in India. He has strong IT skills with proficiency in various database applications. He is able to set clear-cut objectives, focus on priorities, accept responsibilities, and meet the challenges.

He joined GMRICS in November 2024 and overseeing the drilling operations of GMRICS. Presently his expertise is being utilized for tendering for 24,000 m contract drilling in Copper Project Ambaji and providing technical guidance in maintaining better core recovery and maintaining planned borehole path.

Dr Dav completed his Master in Social Welfare (MSW), securing the University First Rank in First Class. Additionally, he has his Master of Arts and Bachelor of Education degrees, both with First Class First with distinctions from the Saurashtra University, Rajkot. Dr. Dav is a distinguished professional in the field of Human Resource Management, with over two decades of dedicated service in his field of expertise.

Dr. Dav has been an integral part of Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Limited (GMDC) for more than 22 years. He has significantly contributed in HR field to a range of key projects across the state, including Gadhsisa, Panandhro, ATPS, Kadipani, and iCEM. His strategic insights and deep understanding of organizational dynamics have played a vital role in the growth and operational success of these initiatives.

Currently, Dr. Dav is leading the Human Resource Department as General Manager (HR) at the Corporate Office in Ahmedabad, where he is instrumental in shaping HR policies, fostering employee engagement, and driving talent development strategies. His academic background, coupled with practical industry experience, makes him a highly respected leader in his domain. He is holding additional charge of Director-Administration GMRICS from March 2024.

Rajeshkumar holds a Master of Commerce (M.Com) degree from M. S. University, Baroda, and is a qualified Chartered Accountant with additional professional certifications including DISA (Diploma in Information Systems Audit) and MBF (Certificate Course on Master in Business Finance) awarded by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).

He is a seasoned Chartered Accountant with over 13 years of post-qualification experience across a broad spectrum of financial domains including Finance, Accounting, Taxation, Funding, Auditing, and Corporate Laws.

Shri Ahir has a professional background that spans both the public and private sectors, giving him deep insight into regulatory frameworks and business operations. Prior to joining Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd. (GMDC), he served with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), a Maharatna Central Public Sector Undertaking, where he gained valuable experience in managing financial operations in a high-stakes corporate environment.

Currently, Mr. Ahir holds the position of Deputy General Manager – Finance & Accounts at GMDC Ltd., where he plays a pivotal role in financial planning, statutory compliance, budgeting, and strategic financial management. His analytical expertise and strong command over financial regulations make him a key contributor to the organization’s fiscal governance and growth initiatives. He has additional charge of Director-Finance, GMRICS and supporting the activities of budget planning, financial monitoring etc.

Srinivasagan completed his graduation in Mining Engineering from Anna University (1992). He holds a First-Class Manager Certificate of the Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS). Additionally, he had Recognised Qualified Person (RQP) with Indian Bureau of Mines (IBM) and the Atomic Minerals Directorate for Exploration & Research (AMD) for preparation of mining plans when it was in force.

He has over thirty-two years of experience in mining of Beach Sand Mineral deposits in Odisha, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh in Indian Rare Earths Limited- an undertaking of Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India and in private agencies. He has vast expertise with high-capacity Dredgers and Heavy Earth-Moving Machinery. He has experience in mineral auctions conducted by MSTC, mining legislation and regulatory aspects. In 2012, he received the National Safety Award (Mines) from the Honourable President of India. He has also visited East African and Middle Eastern countries for Greenfield and Brownfield Mining Projects. He joined GMRICS in November 2024 and looking after mining consultancy services for GMDC and GPCL.
