The brownfield exploration programme proposed by GMDC within the mining lease area of the Fluorspar Project, Kadipani (FPK) is aimed at enhancing the long-term sustainability and resource base of the reopened Ambadungar Fluorite Mine by systematically exploring untapped and deeper mineralized zones. The project envisages the integration and re-interpretation of extensive historical exploration data previously generated, followed by detailed geological, geophysical, and geochemical investigations to identify additional fluorite-bearing structures and concealed mineralized zones within the lease area. A comprehensive exploratory drilling programme of approximately 12,000 metres, to be executed in phased manner, has been planned to validate historical findings, establish continuity of ore bodies at depth, and delineate new resources.
In addition, historical mine waste dumps and low-grade material will be assessed for their economic recovery potential through modern beneficiation techniques. The outcome of the programme is expected to generate reliable geological and resource data, facilitate reserve estimation as per statutory reporting standards, identify opportunities for resource augmentation and value addition, and provide a robust foundation for future mine planning, production enhancement, and sustainable development of the Fluorspar Project, Kadipani as a strategically important fluorite operation.
4500m drilling has been completed within the mining lease area and systematic sampling and laboratory analyses for identification and evaluation of associated critical and strategic minerals occurring with fluorite mineralization is under progress.
The scope of work involves the execution of additional 7,500 meters of core drilling within the designated zones located within the mining lease area to support ongoing exploration activities.
